DVD Movie - 'Discovering Disability & Diversity School Based Student Program in Action' - with Sharon Boyce and Michael Furtado and year 4 primary children at Rangeville State School. Watch all the different activities and the way children react to all the different simulations. Listen to the interesting discussions and deeper level learnings from the program. This DVD would be beneficial for many different groups. Children would enjoy watching it. Those working with children and adults in disability awareness would really gain a lot from this. Can be used in classrooms and for training for all age groups. Would suit all ages. The video documents a session of our program with a class of year 4 students at Rangeville State School in Toowoomba. All the simulations of disability are explained and filmed and then the children are observed experiencing the program and their individual reactions and discussions form the basis of this video. It can be used as a teaching tool or teachers could also get ideas to develop and use some of the activities in their own classrooms or training environments. Great also for training and development of ideas for university students studying eduction and researching strategies about inclusion and special needs.

Tricky Fingers Game
$25.95
This game is used in our sessions to simulate difficulties with fine motor skill manipulation. Try doing this challenge with yur non dominate hand. Race with a partner to complete the puzzle first. It is a favourite with Occupational Therapists everywhere due to the range of skills and abilities it can help to develop.

I believe it can really help improve fine motor skills and develop hand eye coordination as well. Shake your game box, turn over a pattern card and go! Children take a pattern card and then insert their fingertips into the holes in the bottom of the tray in order to manoeuvre the 16 enclosed, colourful marbles to match the image on the pattern card.

Playing with Tricky Fingers will help develop fine motor skills, speed, finger awareness, bilateral coordination, and perceptual skills. It will also help children improve their problem solving abilities, eye-hand coordination, and task persistence.

Tricky Fingers includes two closed see-through boxes with 16 colourful marbles in each and 14 full-colour pattern cards.
Arrange the balls in the pattern box to copy the challenge cards. Play on your own or race friend. Not quite as easy as it looks. Balls are secured in the case and cannot rolTricky_fingers_picl out.

We All Belong - Limited Edition Art Print - plus numbered certificate - SaleDSCN0494_com Price - $200
Ten percent of all profits from these sales will be donated to the Toowoomba branch of the Arthritis Foundation.
This floral work, on first glance, is comprised of flowers that are all the same. However on closer inspection it can be seen they are all quite different and unique. One is especially different, however, to the human eye, it still looks the same on first glance. This is the message of inclusion. We are all different and all have different qualities, however we all have feelings and collectively come together to create a balanced community. This painting uses mixed media of acrylic and oil pastels. It is painted on a heavy cartridge paper. The varying green textured background is created using an application technique of layers of colour, water and plastic. The flowers are created in oil pastels and highlighted with acrylic paint.

This painting is representative of our community and the diversity of it. It is a celebration of the variety of individuals that come together to create our society.

Many of the flowers are very similar in colour and shape. However there is also an individual flower that is very different. However even though it is very different it all comes together to form the overall composition of the garden and create the balance of the piece.

‘We All Belong’ and there is a place and a role for everybody in our world. We need to acknowledge this and celebrate our diverse community.

Limited Editions—Digitally reproduced in full colour on high quality art paper. Series of 50 prints.
Original work is mixed media in Acrylic, Inks and Oil Based Pastels layered and remixed on heavy gauge art paper. Original is owned by Toowoomba Mayor’s Charity –Sunrise Way.
